Tom Cebollero
Growing up around his Father’s auto shop, Tom’s passion for cars and working on them began at the age of 13. During and after high school he spent much of his free time fixing up and modifying his own cars. After college, a corporate finance career ensued, but his passion for cars continued. He attended racing school and participated in amateur racing events with his own modified cars. Weary of corporate life and his dissatisfaction of the experiences he was having at auto shops he decided to return to his roots, become an entrepreneur and bought his own auto shop in San Francisco.
Here he focused on providing what he could not find with other shops: the highest level of customer service along with the best workmanship possible. Concentrating only on German auto manufactures, he grew the business rapidly and enjoyed one of the highest rated German auto shops in all of San Francisco for 12 years running. Reaching a high level of professional and personal success, his shop was sold and a 5 year sabbatical began. After this break, Tom took a Technicians position at Porsche Marin Dealership where he met Scott Stewart. Tom and Scott quickly began talking about their experiences working at independent auto shops before working at the Dealership. Those conversations ultimately led this: Sausalito European (formerly Sausalito Imports). Our shared mission of providing the highest level of customer service with the best workmanship possible for premium European automobile brands.
Scott Stewart

At 15, Scott started his automotive journey at ‘The Family Car’ Volkswagon shop in Santa Venicia, and soon after moved on to Sears point raceway, spending 3 years with Zephyr Racing as a Super Vee and Formula Atlantic team mechanic. In the mid 1980’s, Scott joined the Original Swiss Garage, right here, at 90 Gate 5 Road, and dedicated his discipline through an ownership change when it became Autohaus Sausalito with Greg Stach.
In 1999, life’s path led Scott to Sacramento, where he spent 17 years at Mercedes Service Center, an exclusive Mercedes Benz repair shop. In the following years, Scott expanded his expertise at ‘Stewarts Exotic European’, restoring classic Italian and British cars, along with Lamborghini, McLaren, and Ferrari repair. In 2020, Scott moved on to the Porsche Marin dealership, gaining valuable factory training and extended certifications. After four years of dealership experience, Scott was met with the call to return to the independent side of European car repair and the desire to own his business, and he partnered with a co-worker at the same dealer, Tom Cebollero, to start Sausalito European, formerly Sausalito Imports.
